Vietnam’s first sand sculpture park in Phan Thiet

(VNF) - Visitors to Phan Thiet city centre have been able to enjoy beautiful sand sculptures created by the skillful hands of foreign sculptors at Vietnam’s first ever sand sculpture park.

Apart from popular tourist sites such as Doi Cat or Bau Trang, visitors can enjoy unique sand sculpture masterpieces at the Sand Sculpture Park in Phan Thiet. Covering an area of 2ha, the park named “Forgotten Land” is the first of its kind in Vietnam.

Sand sculpture is an attractive art favored around the world. Famous sand sculpture art festivals yearly organized in Australia, Japan, Denmark, and the U.S. have always drawn attention of specialists, visitors and local people. Skillful hands and infinite creativity of world professional sand sculpture artists can make unique and impressive sculptures out of formless small dunes.

After a long-period research, international scientists affirmed that the quality of sand in Mui Ne, Phan Thiet meets the material requirements for sand sculpture art.

Sculptors from 15 nations around the world such as Holland, Canada, Italy, Brazil, the U.S., and Japan are invited to create these sculptures.

Some of the statues were based on Vietnamese stories and iconic locations such as Thien Mu Pagoda and Po Naga Towers along with portraits of famous people and fairy tales characters. Artisans use the natural sand in Mui Ne to create amazing sand sculptures.

The park also has a special space for children to experience the art of sand sculpture.

The Sand Sculpture Park is located on Nguyen Thong road in the centre of Phan Thiet city, the south central coastal province of Binh Thuan./.
