Vietnam Renewable Energy Week 2019 to be host this September in Hanoi

Renewable Energy week 2019 will focus on bringing together diverse mix of stakeholders to exchange experiences and engage spirit discussion on how we can accelerate progress to build a clean energy future in Vietnam in a sustainable and effective way.

Vietnam Sustainable Energy Alliance (VSEA) initiated the first Renewable Energy Week in 2016, and it is now the annual forum for interested stakeholders to discuss their concerns and ideas and to propose solutions for energy transition in Vietnam.

The Renewable Energy Week programs in 2016 and 2017 focused on introducing the concept of Clean Energy Potential and challenging commonly held negative perceptions and myths regarding Renewable Energy.

The third Renewable Energy Week in 2018 attracted more than 500 participants for 4 seminars and talk shows, including sessions dealing with renewable energy contributing to the rural electrification program implementation, looking back on a year of Decision 11 and Circular 16 implementing on solar power development in Vietnam, introducing Dual-use approaches for Solar energy and Food production and fisheries and marked the launch of the Millions Green Homes for a Prosperous Vietnam concept.

The fourth Renewable Energy Week (RE Week) in September 2019 will focus Energy transition topic which is a recent development trend over the World and also in Vietnam. Renewable energy has been acknowledged widely as a primary and most effective solution to reduce GHG emission, mitigate climate change impact.

RE Week 2019 will create a forum to connect multi-stakeholder together to share their perspective on renewable energy development in Vietnam and what they can contribute to make the energy transition better./.
