VUFO President cherishes Argentine friends

In a meeting with Argentine Ambassador Juan Carlos Valle Raleigh on January 30, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), Nguyen Phuong Nga shared about her treasured friendship with Argentine people.

Receiving Ambassador Raleigh, VUFO President spoke highly of his contributions to the development of Vietnam-Argentina relations, hoping that bilateral ties will reach higher stage of development in various fields.  

In addition, the leader of VUFO shared with Ambassador Raleigh about her close ties with Argentine people, recalling the time when she was Head of the Vietnam Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN). The post gave the Vietnamese diplomat the chance to meet and work with Argentina's dedicated diplomats including Ambassador Martín García Moritán and Ambassador María Cristina Perceval. Apart from being counterparts, they have become close friends. After completing her tenure in UN, despite the geographical distance and busy working schedule, the Vietnamese diplomat still keeps in touch with her respected Argentine friends. 

Ambassador Raleigh, for his part, said he is confident in the bright prospects of the Vietnam-Argentina relations and expressed his delight to see the affection of VUFO President for Argentine people. 

In the meeting, Argentine ambassador also talked about his experiences in Vietnam. The diplomat excitedly shared with VUFO President that this year he will be celebrating Tet with his two sons, who are currently on a backpack tour to discover the S-shaped country. 

With a strong love for Vietnam, Ambassador Raleigh has been to many localities such as Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Da Nang, Can Tho, etc for both the purpose of work and travel.

The Ambassador said he is amazed by the magnificent landscape of Ha Long Bay and the modernization of the route linking Hanoi with the heritage.

At the moment, the Argentine diplomat is thinking about a trip to the Central Highlands, a distinctive destination that he has yet to explore./.
