VNU reinforces cooperation with Yonsei University (Korea)

The Hanoi National University (VNU) will reinforce cooperation with Yonsei University, said VNU Deputy Director Nguyen Hong Son in a meeting with leaders of Yonsei University, Korea.

Representatives of Yonsei University, for their part, briefed the host on the training curriculum and research activities in Yonsei University and invited VNU scholars to participate in joint research, teaching activities as well as scientific journal articles publications. 

At the same time, Yonsei University will create the most favorable conditions for VNU students to pursue postgraduate programme in the university, while faciliate exchange programme, short courses for VNU's students majoring in technology, engineering, chemistry, and physics. 

Founded in 1885, Yonsei University is one of Korea's largest multidisciplinary universities. Yonsei University has 18 member universities and 22 affiliated colleges.  

Currently, Yonsei University is home to about 39,000 students, including nearly 5,000 international students. According to QS ranking 2018, Yonsei University was ranked 107th in the world and 17th in Asia.

Yonsei University was the ‘cradle’ nurturing many famous businessmen in the spearhead industry of Korea such as: Chung Mong Hun - former chairman of Hyundai Group, Kim Woo Jung - founder of Daewoo Group, Koo Bon Moo - LG Group president./.
