Purified water system built for patients

Work started on a purified water treatment and provision system at Hospital K’s Tan Trieu branch on October 7 with the aim of improving treatment and healthcare for patients.

At the groundbreaking ceremony of the system.

In recent times, an increasing number of patients with cancers have flocked to Hospital K. Every day, it examines more than 2,000 patients while treating over 1,000 inpatients, including a large number of poor people, policy beneficiaries, and victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and their children. Apart from suffering pains, these needy patients face various difficulties in life, particularly shortage of fresh drinking water.

Having recognized the situation, the leadership of the hospital has cooperated with the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN) to call on benefactors to install a water purifying system, valued at VND 1 billion, to help reduce poor patients’ treatment expenses.

In response to the call from the PAN, VinAqua Company, and Viet Long Industry Company, a filter with capacity of 5,000 liters of water per day will be installed at the hospital’s Tan Trieu branch.

Addressing the ceremony, Senior Colonel Do Phu Tho, the PAN’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief and other benefactors hoped that such a system would be installed in more hospitals in different localities to better serve patients, especially those with cancers, and help relieve their pains and reduce their treatment expenses./.
