Malaysian Embassy wishes to expand charitable activities in Vietnam

(VNF) - Vice President, General Secretary of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations on March 9 held a reception for Ambassador of Malaysia to Vietnam, Zamruni Khalid.

At the meeting, Ambassador Khalid expressed his delight to witness the thriving ties of the two countries in multiple fields. He emphasized, in 2018, the Embassy will conduct a series of meaningful activities to mark the 45th anniversary of bilateral relations establishment (1973-2018, March 30).

According to the Ambassador, in addition to the official celebration event scheduled on March 30, the 45 anniversary will be celebrated with various cultural exchange programme, including arts performance by Malaysian artists and a Malaysian food festival, among others.

Furthermore, Ambassador Khalid also emphasized the Embassy's wish to participate in larger-scale charitable activities in 2018, and seeked cooperation from VUFO in launching all the aforementioned activities.

Vice President VUFO, Don Tuan Phong, for his part, appreciated the activeness of the Malaysian Embassy in preparing for the 45th anniversary of Vietnam - Malaysia diplomatic relations.

He affirmed that VUFO and the Vietnam - Malaysia Friendship Association will create optimal conditions to ensure the success of these events and asked the Embassy to provide VUFO with the detailed plan soon, so VUFO can do its best to assist the Embassy in fulfilling all of the tasks./.
