Logo design contest to mark 45th anniversary of Australia-Vietnam diplomatic ties launched

(VNF) - A logo design competition to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Australia and Vietnam (1973-2018) was launched in Hanoi on October 10th.

The competition is held by the  Australian Embassy to Vietnam and the University of Industrial Fine Arts, aiming to look for creative designs that reflect the 45-year journey the two countries have shared.

"The relationship between Australia and Vietnam has come a long way since Australia and Vietnam announced the establishment of diplomatic relations on February 26th, 1973 and now expand to a wide range of cooperation, including economics, security and innovation partnerships. I hope this competition will be an opportunity for all participants to showcase their talent and creativity as well as to learn more about our two countries", said Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Craig Chittick.

According to the organizing board, the competition requires contestants to submit a logo created by his/herself, which symbolizes the rich history of bilateral ties in the past, and the innovative, forward-looking partnership of today.

The contest open for every interested individual. One contestant can submit multiple entries.Entries will be judged by Australian Ambassador and the Australian Consul-General and Rector of the University of Industrial Arts.

Award for the first-place winner will be an Apple iPad NEW 9.7 (2017) 4G 32GB and an VND 10 million English learning voucher (transferrable) at the Australian Centre for Education and Training (ACET).

Besides, a VND 5 million English-learning voucher will be given to the entry with the biggest number of like, comments and shares on the Australian Embassy’s fanpage; while the ten best logos shortlisted by the judging panel will receive an award set with IELTS books, a helmet and certificate of appreciation.

The winning logo and the runner up entrants will be announced in Hanoi in December 2017.

The deadline for submission is November 30, 2017.
