Dubai restaurant Vietnamese Foodies to give full day’s profit to staff

All profit generated on Lunar New Year Ever will go to employees.

With Lunar New Year being a time of giving back in many cultures, Dubai-based restaurant Vietnamese Foodie will donate a full day’s worth of profits to its staff in celebration.

The concept in JLT is giving all the money it makes, minus food costs, on February 4, Lunar New Year’s Eve, to its employees as a thank you for their efforts throughout the year.

Lily Hoa Nguyen, owner and executive chef of Vietnamese Foodies said: “Lunar New Year is one of the most important and popular holidays in Vietnam. On this day, the elders in the family usually give Bao Li Xi, or red envelopes, which contains a symbolic amount of money to the younger members of the family. We wanted to extend this tradition to our staff to thank them for all their hard work and wish them the best of health, success and happiness in this new year.”

In addition, the restaurant will close on Lunar New Year, February 5, so that employees can spend the day with their families.
